Kerajaan Negeri memandang serius aduan-aduan mengenai kepincangan pada daftar pengundi yang sedia ada dan senarai daftar pengundi baharu.
Aduan dan tuduhan termasuk rakyat negara jiran yang mendapat taraf permaustatin tetap dan disenarai sebagai pengundi amat merungsingkan dan perlu diselesaikan dengan segera.
Kerajaan Selangor berpandangan bahawa rakyat mempunyai hak untuk menuntut satu daftar pemilih yang bersih untuk membuka jalan kepada satu pilihan raya yang bersih dan adil.

Geran ini terbuka kepada orang ramai tanpa mengira kaum, agama dan kecenderungan parti politik. Oleh kerana dana kerajaan negeri digunakan, bantahan ini hanya melibatkan kawasan di Selangor sahaja.
Pilihan raya bersih dan adil adalah tiang utama kepada demokrasi tulen. Pilihan raya bukan sahaja perlu bersih dan adil tetapi juga perlu kelihatan bersih dan adil di mata semua.
Setiap usaha mesti diambil demi memastikan kredibiliti pilihan raya dijaga dan pilihan sebenar rakyat dihormati.

SELANGOR GOVERNMENTS SETS UP A GRANT FOR FAIR ELECTION
The State Government is concerned with ongoing complaints regarding irregularities of the electoral roll and the registration of new voters.
Complaints and allegations that permanent residents from neighbouring countries are being registered as voters are disturbing and need to beaddressed.
Selangor is of the view that the rakyat has the right to demand an electoral roll which is free from irregularities, without which there cannot be clean and fair elections.
The EXCO meeting today has thus agreed to set up a fund to support the filing of protests at the Election Commission on any irregularities in the electoral roll.
The grant is open to the public with no preferences as regards to race, religion or political affiliation. As this is a state sponsored initiative, it will however be focused on the filing of protests involving constituencies in Selangor only.
Clean and fair elections are the pillar of any genuine democracy. Not only must elections be clean and fair, they must also be seen by all to be clean and fair. Every effort must be taken to ensure that the credibility of our elections are never undermined, and the intelligence of the rakyat never insulted.
